Writing and Related Skills

You must take a minimum of two courses; some majors require a third writing course. Consult with your major advisor about the writing requirements for your major (if any). English 110 should be taken in your first year. You are eligible to take the second writing course once you have earned 45 credit hours.

Goals/Rationale:

• Writing courses across disciplines develop students’ skills in writing, reading, critical thinking, and oral expression.
